Nutrition Consultation Terms

1. Purpose of the Service

The free 15-minute consultation (“Consultation”) offered by Igennus Healthcare Nutrition (“Igennus”, “we”, “our”) provides general information about dietary supplements and wellness. It is for educational purposes only.

The Consultation is not medical advice and does not establish a doctor–patient or healthcare provider relationship.

2. Scope of Advice

During the Consultation, Consultants may provide:

  • General dietary supplement information
  • Educational content based on publicly available information
  • High-level guidance on possible interactions or contraindications based solely on what you voluntarily disclose

Consultants will not:

  • Diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent any disease
  • Provide medical, nursing, or pharmaceutical advice
  • Suggest discontinuation or modification of prescribed medication
  • Provide therapeutic claims restricted under FDA or FTC regulations

You should not interpret any information as a substitute for professional medical care.

3. Children’s Supplement Guidance

Consultations are available to adults aged 18 or over. Where the topic concerns a child under 18, the Consultation must be booked and attended by the child’s parent or legal guardian, who confirms that they have authority to discuss the child’s information.

The Consultation provides general educational information to the parent or guardian. It does not provide medical care to the child, establish a healthcare provider–patient relationship, or include diagnosis, treatment, interpretation of test results or changes to prescribed medication.

Please consult the child’s pediatrician or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing a supplement, particularly where the child has a medical condition or takes medication.

Please share only information reasonably necessary for the discussion. Do not submit the child’s full name, date of birth, medical records or other unnecessary identifying information through the booking form.

Information provided is handled in accordance with our Privacy and Cookie Policy.

We may decline or end a Consultation where authority to discuss the child’s information is unclear or the questions fall outside the service’s scope.

4. Regulatory Disclosures

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not approve dietary supplements for safety and effectiveness before they are marketed.

Statements made by Consultants may not have been evaluated by the FDA.

Recommendations comply with the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA), meaning:

  • No disease claims will be made
  • Only structure/function-type language may be used (e.g., “supports immune health”)

Consultants will not make claims that would classify a supplement as a drug under U.S. federal law.

5. Limitations of the Consultation

The Consultation is limited to 15 minutes and inherently cannot account for full medical history or complex conditions.

No written plan, therapeutic program, or follow-up is included unless stated.

Consultants may decline to answer questions outside their permitted scope.

6. Your Responsibilities

By participating, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Consult your physician or qualified healthcare provider before starting any supplement
  • Use your discretion regarding any information received

You acknowledge that all supplement use is voluntary and at your own risk.

7. Liability Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by U.S. federal and state law:

Igennus and its Consultants disclaim all liability for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from reliance on any information provided.

Igennus makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the information.

Participation does not create a professional–client relationship.

Igennus specifically disclaims liability for:

  • Adverse reactions
  • Health deterioration
  • Supplement interactions
  • Decisions made based on Consultation content

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; provisions will apply to the extent permitted by your state.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any rights belonging to a child.

8. Booking, Rescheduling & Cancellation

Consultations are available by appointment only.

Igennus may reschedule or cancel consultations at its discretion.

You may reschedule or cancel following instructions in your confirmation email.

9. Consumer Privacy

Personal information is collected and used per our Privacy and Cookie Policy and applicable U.S. privacy laws.
We do not record Consultations. Please do not record the session.

10. No Obligation to Purchase

There is no obligation to purchase any Igennus product. Any supplement mentioned is suggested strictly as an educational reference.

11. Amendments

By booking or attending a Consultation, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
