Biologically active vitamin D3 form

Vitamin D exists in two forms: ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). Vitamin D3 is the form naturally produced in the body and the most biologically active form, which is better absorbed and utilised by the body.

Many vitamin D supplements provide vitamin D2, but the more potent supplement form cholecalciferol (D3) is up to 3 times as active as the synthetic ergocalciferol (D2). We source our vitamin D3 from lanolin, derived from sheep’s wool.

Good but too much packaging

The pills are tiny so are very easy to swallow.I like they do not test on animals and are vegetarian friendly.Really good value for money considering this is a years supply.My only criticism is that it is a fairly large bottle and it is not even filled up halfway with tablets so seems like a bit of a waste of packaging.

I also like the dark- coloured jar, which helps protect the product from light exposure. It’s free from silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate , which is a big plus for me. Shipping and delivery were problem- free. Recommended.

fantastic vitamin D tablets. I have a vitamin D deficiency as I cannot go outside in the Sun if the UV is above three because of a condition I have these have been fantastic. I had a blood test recently and my vitamin D was starting to creep up.

This is the only gel-free D3 that I found. The pills are small and easy to swallow and the 2000 IU contents is just right for me.

I am pretty much housebound and in bed 18 hours a day. Vitamin D supplementation is vital for me. Igennus tablets are small and easy to swallow. Additionally Igennus offer good value for money, not least because you don’t have to pay for postage so often with the sensible quantity of tablets per bottle (please don’t shrink-flate).

These high strength vitamin D tablets only need to be taken once a day. They are tiny so a year's supply can fit in the same tub, saving on packaging. They are also good value and I trust the quality. I will order again but not for a while as I have now fully stocked up!

Must have supplement here in the UK, particularly in winter. For me 2000IU is a good amount for winter supplementation. I take it alongside Vit C and zinc.
