Not big capsules. Easy to swallow
Having been advised by my GP to take folic acid supplements. I ordered this brand over other brands purely on the basis that the label on the bottle states Pure.This is not the case as proven by the list of ingredients noted on the label.( see image)That being said these tablets are small.and round in shape making them super easy to swallow.180 tablets per bottle means each purchase equates to a 6month supply which works out extraordinary good value for money.400mcg per tablet, one to be taken per day.Easy to open tub.Highly recommend ??
These Igennus Pure Folate super small tablets give 400mcg of an important vitamin. The 180 small, easy to swallow tablets provide almost double the daily value for a half a year of protection at a very inexpensive price point. A no-brainer, IMO. Methylated Folate is much better (bio-available) than plain Vitamin B-9 supplementation.
Update: Taking review down from 5 to 4 stars. The supplement itself is great, but these are uncoated tablets and for me, they were a little to tough to swallow. Consider that if it's an issue for you, disregard if it isn't.This folate supplement comes as L-Methylfolate which is one of the best bio-available forms of folate. The top of the bottle was sealed in plastic and there was also a safety seal inside. The expiration date & lot info is printed right on the label. It looks like it was messed with in my picture - but that's just because Amazon slapped a tag right on the bottle in that spot. These are fairly small and dose is 1 per day, so it's a 6 month supply. I've actually been doubling up, using it as a replacement for a higher dose Rx version of folate, so it will last me 3 months. It has very few other ingredients with no artificial colors, flavors or any sweeteners. Bottle also says no animal testing, non-GMO, vegan/vegetarian safe and also halal & kosher diet safe. It's manufactured in the UK, and distributed through a Calif company. I compared the tablet to a dime to show it's size. The only thing to note is that it's not a coated tablet, so may be harder to swallow if you have trouble with that texture. To me, that's not a deal-breaker and it seems to be doing it's job.
I like that this bottle has a generous supply of methyl folate. I've taken it for a few days now, and haven't had any issues or adverse reactions after taking them.
I am confused about the correct dosage this product contains. There are labels on this supplement showing it contains 400 mcg as well as 667mcg of methylfolate. It makes me uncomfortable not knowing the correct dosage and because of that, I would not order again.
